I was surprised by the lack of knowledge about the vehicle I was interested in from my sales advisor. He was extremely enjoyable to be around though. Very positive. The process didn't seem well rehearsed. I was really taken back that I was offered to drive a vehicle that was not the one I intended to purchase and had to ask to test drive the one I wads the most interested in purchasing. The loan officer was patient and very knowledgeable and actually seemed to advocate for me after i proved that i wasn't an idiot. Although he kept telling me that he's been doing this for 33 years as to legitimize what he was doing and saying. I appreciate the experience but it came off overbearing and off-putting. I didn't love that my numbers were held to the very end...even after I said I was interested and wanted to move forward. No questions were asked about if I could pay cash or put a down payment into the deal. I definitely could've paid cash and I define had the means to put in a down-payment. The numbers were just worked without any insight from me. I didn't feel like I was a real part of the process. I also was told they work with 35 banks or something but when I brought up my local bank, he did say he was a lender for my bank and only then attempted to get my banks approval. I'm not sure I got the best deal on my financing. Accessories, extended warranty were other parts of the process that could've been talked about much earlier. I was confused by why these conversations and dosclosure of informstion were held to the very end of thr process given my wait time. The sales manager was ok. I didn't find him very professional however. I was shocked that nobody understood the chevy rewards program when I brought that up to buy accessories.....many of which I didn't purchase at the dealership as I intended. The coffee that was offered was disgusting and I am not a picky person.....ive had army coffee and hospital coffee for mist of my working career. This was the worst. I didn't really feel welcomed at the dealership. It felt dull. No energy. The greeter at the counter didn't even engage me. No tour was offered after I purchased so I could get to know the staff there and where things were located. I really feel like if I did my real estate sales this way....I wouldn't be in business very long. It's interesting this came this morning because I was just talking to my wife about this over my first cup of coffee.
