While in the process of buying the vehicle we were informed there was an open recall on it; the vehicle was moved over to the service department and a sign blew over and scratched the door. We were told that the scratch could easily be fixed and the vehicle would be available Monday. On Monday we were told the scratch was actually deep (through two layers) and wouldn't be ready until Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon we were told that it wouldn't be ready until Wednesday, today as I'm writing this so we have not picked up our vehicle yet. We were offered a loaner initially but since it was supposed to be a quick and easy fix we didn't need it at the time; and at this point we are unable to get there to pick up the loaner.

Brought Truck in for normal maintenance. Very happy with my service advisor (Brock) who always is very helpful and polite. I also have a issue with my eight speed transmission which seems to shift very hard and isn't smooth. I have bought a new vehicle on a average of every four years starting in 1975, which were mostly trucks, and this one will surprise me if the u joints make it to 50 thousand miles. When you spend this much on a truck it shouldn't shift like this. The service was done to my satisfaction as always at Merit, however the service manager said the way my truck shifts is normal. I know there is not a lot that can be done, and know its not Brock or the managers fault, but I would not recommend this truck to anyone. I test drove a new truck, and it did not shift like this one.

I’m not very tech savy, and I stop by with questions regarding the display on the computer gauges & Jason Workman patiently reteaches me. I really appreciate that. Service has been very efficient & friendly. Sometimes I need to stop by because On Star tells me my tire pressure is low. The Service Dept. pulls me right in & gets it done.
Body shop handled our service perfectly and prompty! Then brought the car right over for the oil change, which was also handled quickly... All the while keeping me posted on the progress while I waited! Great service!
Jeff Michaelson is a top notch service advisor. Friendly and easy to work with. Merit - Keep your prices down. Also, give your customers a chance to just get a plain old oil change instead of rolling 52 point inspections and rotations, etc. I buy my tires from Merit and I get FREE rotations...I want an oil change price option without the rotate.
I made an online appointment and noted that if it was *likely* to take longer than a certain amount of time that someone should call me so I can make arrangements. They didn't. Then when I brought it in they seemed like it was ridiculous it could be done in that amount of time and asked if I had an appointment. What good are appointments and the comments even for? They were kind enough to offer a loaner vehicle, which is one of the arrangements that would have been nice to plan with. Lastly, it is always exorbitantly more expensive than my normal mechanic. Without the convenience of the scheduled appointment getting me out of there (or being able to plan around a set time), I'm likely to just go to my regular mechanic next time I know I need repairs and save the money. Merit is still more convenient for oil changes.
